On the road to recovery
Digitization has allowed us to combat last year's pandemic in countless ways. For many, work, study, socializing, shopping, doctor visits and more now take place online, secure from contagion. Factories have been kept running and supply chains kept open, thanks in part to digital technologies from factory automation to blockchain. And our quest for Covid 19 vaccines has been shortened by artificial intelligence and machine learning.
As we move out of the global health crisis, digitalization will increasingly permeate our economies. Accelerating digital transformation promises greater efficiency, value, convenience and innovation.
Digitization for all
"The ongoing digitization of both our society and economy will only continue to grow and deepen. If done right, it will contribute to greater efficiency and productivity and accelerate socioeconomic development in the post-Cold War world," said an advisor to the United Nations International Telecommunication Union and webinar participant.
